Port Canaveral, FL – June 11, 2025 — Royal Caribbean is betting big on thrills at sea with a major expansion of the casino aboard the Wonder of the Seas, the world’s largest cruise ship. The move aims to deliver more gaming excitement than ever before for guests sailing the Caribbean.
The cruise line confirmed that the casino on Deck 4 will be extended into the space currently occupied by the Crown Lounge, a popular retreat for Crown & Anchor Society members. As part of the shuffle, the Crown Lounge will relocate to Deck 16 and reopen on June 29, just one week after its closure on June 22.
To ease the transition, Royal Caribbean is offering special perks to elite loyalty guests. Diamond and Diamond Plus members can enjoy cocktail hour drinks at any bar, plus bonus cappuccino credits at Café Promenade, all conveniently loaded onto their SeaPass cards.
Meanwhile, the ship’s Golden Room, a non-smoking casino section, will also close on June 22, reopening July 13 as part of the casino’s upgraded footprint. Additionally, Social100, the vibrant teens’ club, and the ship’s conference centers will remain closed until construction wraps.
Launched in 2022, the Wonder of the Seas remains a floating marvel, carrying up to 5,738 guests on seven-night Caribbean cruises from Port Canaveral. This casino revamp is the latest in Royal Caribbean’s ongoing mission to enhance the guest experience—and keep the stakes high for onboard fun.
