He reached career highs in receptions and yards in 2021, further solidifying his reputation as a strong receiver before his trade to Carolina in March 2024.

For the Commanders, the urgency to find another offensive weapon is clear.

Currently sitting at 4-2, the team’s success has been heavily reliant on McLaurin, who has accounted for 29 receptions, 356 yards, and four touchdowns.

However, the drop-off in production is evident, as the second and third leading receivers are tight end Zach Ertz and backup running back Austin Ekeler.
