Ahead of 49ers matchup, the Cowboys sound like a complete trainwreck

The San Francisco 49ers have had their fair share of challenges, but their long-time rivals, the Dallas Cowboys, may be facing even more turmoil.

According to a recent feature by ESPN’s Kalyn Kahler, former Cowboys players have openly criticized the team’s culture, specifically targeting owner Jerry Jones for allowing fans to tour the Cowboys’ training facility.

These tours, which offer fans a glimpse into the day-to-day life of Cowboys players, have been viewed as a distraction, with some even suggesting they might be an obstacle to the team’s success.

The Cowboys are currently the only NFL team that permits fans to tour the facility, even during the regular season.

Kahler noted that these tours are a point of pride for the organization, but they’ve caused frustration among players.

For instance, a moment during one tour had fans spotting linebacker Micah Parsons hobbling on an injured ankle, with some whispering comments about his ability to play again soon.

Such moments have led former players, including tight end Dalton Schultz, to describe the atmosphere at the facility as more of a “zoo” than a professional environment.

While Jones defends the tours, arguing they have no impact on the team’s performance, many disagree.

Former Cowboy Jayron Kearse noted that the team prioritizes branding and marketing over winning, suggesting that the Cowboys’ focus on maintaining their image may come at the cost of their success on the field.

Jerry Jones, however, seems unfazed by the criticism, confidently stating that players unhappy with the tours are those who “move on down the line.”

The criticism comes amid a tough season for the Cowboys, who were recently thrashed 47-9 by the Detroit Lions.

Since then, Jones has been embroiled in controversy, from threatening radio hosts for criticizing him to questioning head coach Mike McCarthy’s decisions.

Despite these distractions, Jones continues to be the center of attention, even as his team struggles on the field.

As the Cowboys prepare to face the 49ers in a highly anticipated Sunday night showdown, the internal issues seem to be weighing heavily on the team.

While the Cowboys’ roster may not be as injury-riddled as the 49ers’, star defender Micah Parsons is a doubt for the game due to the ankle injury witnessed during the fan tours.

All eyes will be on Santa Clara as the Cowboys try to overcome their off-field distractions and turn their se

ason around.
