Princess Cruises is setting the stage for one of its most extensive Caribbean and Panama Canal seasons yet. Announced from Fort Lauderdale, the cruise line revealed an enriched 2027–28 program that introduces more destinations, more ships, and a wider range of itineraries than ever before. A major highlight of this expansion is the addition of Celebration Key, a new, purpose-built island getaway on Grand Bahama Island that will become a key feature of Caribbean sailings beginning in late 2026.
Starting November 1, 2026, Celebration Key will welcome its first call from the brand-new Star Princess. The destination—which blends tranquil lagoons, white-sand beaches, and activities for all ages—marks the largest private island development ever undertaken by Carnival Corporation. Guests will soon be able to book shore experiences and amenities, including cabana reservations, as the island becomes an exciting fixture on upcoming Caribbean voyages.
Princess Cruises will expand Celebration Key visits beyond Star Princess, with Regal Princess arriving shortly after, followed by Caribbean Princess, Enchanted Princess, Sky Princess, and Sun Princess throughout the 2026–27 and 2027–28 seasons. According to Chief Commercial Officer Jim Berra, the expanded offerings will give guests more ways to enjoy the Caribbean through thoughtfully crafted itineraries and the comfort of Princess’ newest Sphere-class ships.
2027–28 Caribbean Season Highlights
The October 2027 to April 2028 Caribbean season is being billed as Princess Cruises’ most diverse to date. With a mix of short escapes and extended getaways, guests can expect a dynamic blend of adventure, culture, and relaxation across the region.
The season features 187 departures across nine ships, including the first Caribbean appearances of Star Princess and Sun Princess. Sailings range from four to fifteen days and visit 31 destinations across 22 islands. Among these stops are 13 UNESCO World Heritage Sites, from the historic Brimstone Hill Fortress in St. Kitts to the lush volcanic landscapes of Martinique and Dominica.
Princess will operate from five homeports—Miami (new for the brand), Fort Lauderdale, Port Canaveral, New York, and San Juan. Select itineraries also include late-night visits in Aruba, Bonaire, and Curaçao, giving guests more time to experience these vibrant islands after sunset.
2027–28 Panama Canal Season Highlights
A pioneer in Panama Canal cruises since 1967, Princess Cruises continues to offer some of the most immersive transits through this engineering marvel. The September 2027 to April 2028 season will feature 22 departures across five ships, including the highly anticipated Star Princess.
Guests can choose from nine distinct itineraries sailing roundtrip from Fort Lauderdale or traveling ocean-to-ocean between Los Angeles or Vancouver on the west coast and Florida’s popular ports on the east. These voyages visit 21 destinations across nine countries and feature seven UNESCO World Heritage Sites, such as Cartagena’s historic port fortress and the Archaeological Site of Panamá Viejo.
Late-night stays in select ports—including Cartagena, Aruba, and Puerto Amador—allow guests to explore these cities more deeply, enjoying their food, music, and cultural charm long after traditional port hours.
