Bulldogs in talk to $213,000 Quarterback

As the Georgia Bulldogs pursue another shot at the college football national championship

, head coach Kirby Smart is also focused on building for the future, particularly at the quarterback position.

Carson Beck, once viewed as a potential high NFL draft pick, faced scrutiny after a performance against the Texas Longhorns that did not bolster his draft stock.

This has prompted Smart to explore alternatives for the 2025 season.

Currently, Georgia has a few promising options in redshirt sophomore Gunner Stockton and highly regarded freshman Jaden Rashada.

However, Smart is actively seeking to enhance the roster further.

The Bulldogs have already secured a commitment from four-star quarterback Ryan Montgomery for the 2025 recruiting class, but they may not stop there.

Recently, four-star quarterback Jaron-Keawe Sagapolutele announced that he received a scholarship offer from Georgia,

just two days following the Bulldogs’ victory over Texas. According to On3.com’s Industry Rankings, Sagapolutele ranks as the 15th best quarterback in the 2025 class.

He is currently committed to Cal, raising questions about whether Smart can persuade him to switch allegiance.

Sagapolutele is also scheduled to visit the Oregon Ducks, indicating that he has several options as he weighs his future. Notably, On3 projects his NIL value to be approximately $213,000, highlighting the interest surrounding his recruitment.

For now, Georgia fans are hoping for greater consistency from Beck, as his performance will be crucial in determining the team’s chances of making a return to the College Football Playoff. As the Bulldogs navigate the remainder of the season, the quest for a solidified quarterback for the future remains a top priority for Smart and his coaching staff.
