Cardinals Reveal Status Of Kyler Murray For Next Season

Kyler Murray’s Status for Next Season: Cardinals Looking Ahead

Kyler Murray’s performance this season has shown promising signs of recovery and growth. He threw for 3,851 yards and 21 touchdowns, completing 68.8% of his passes, while also adding 572 rushing yards and five touchdowns.

After recovering from an ACL injury sustained two years ago, Murray has appeared to regain the form that earned him two Pro Bowl selections in 2020 and 2021.

From a surface-level perspective, it would seem unwise for the Arizona Cardinals to part ways with Murray. Despite holding only the No. 16 pick in the upcoming NFL draft, the team’s roster has potential.

Murray, who is now over 27 years old, still has several productive years ahead of him, and his performance this season reaffirms his value as a cornerstone player.

The Cardinals’ offense showed growth, with rookie wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. accumulating 885 yards and eight touchdowns, and tight end Trey McBride contributing 1,146 yards.

Running back James Connor also had an impressive season, rushing for 1,094 yards and eight touchdowns.

These contributors, combined with Murray’s return to form, suggest that the team is on the right path.

While the No. 16 pick in the draft may not necessarily land Arizona a star, it offers the opportunity to secure a solid contributor who can step in immediately and help improve the team.

This pick could be pivotal in strengthening the roster and setting the foundation for the next phase of the team’s rebuilding process.

Ultimately, the Cardinals appear poised to continue building around Murray, as his leadership and skillset remain essential to their success.

With the right support and a few more key additions, Murray could lead Arizona to more promising seasons in the future.
