Cowboys Trade Pitch Lands Dak Prescott $10 Million Star WR

The Dallas Cowboys faced a disappointing defeat at home against the Detroit Lions,

managing to score only nine points in a game that highlighted their offensive shortcomings.

With a current record of 3-3, the team heads into their bye week, knowing they have a tough schedule ahead,

featuring matchups against the San Francisco 49ers, Atlanta Falcons, Philadelphia Eagles, Houston Texans, and Washington Commanders.

In light of this performance, there are discussions about potential trades to bolster the offense and support quarterback Dak Prescott.

According to Scott Polacek of Bleacher Report, the Cowboys could be eyeing New York Jets wide receiver Mike Williams as a possible addition.

With limited options at wide receiver beyond CeeDee Lamb, Williams could serve as a valuable deep threat, drawing attention away from Lamb and tight end Jake Ferguson.

Williams, selected seventh overall by the Los Angeles Chargers in the 2017 draft, has seen a sluggish start to his season with the Jets, accumulating just 10 receptions for 145 yards over five games.

However, the Jets are reportedly looking to trade him following their acquisition of Davante Adams from the Las Vegas Raiders, making him a potential fit for the Cowboys.

Despite the appeal of adding a veteran receiver with nearly 5,000 career receiving yards, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has expressed reluctance to engage in trades before the upcoming November 5 deadline.

According to Dianna Russini of The Athletic, Jones indicated that the team will not be making any moves and will instead focus on improving practices and team dynamics.

Should the Cowboys change their minds, bringing Williams on board could significantly enhance their passing game, given his track record of 319 receptions and 31 touchdowns throughout his eight-year career.

As the team seeks to regain momentum, they must weigh the risks and rewards of any potential trade carefully.
