West Virginia Hires Experienced Coach Jack Bicknell Jr. for Offensive  Line Role

Rich Rodriguez is building a team full of experience for his return to West Virginia, and his latest move involves hiring Jack Bicknell Jr. as the Mountaineers’ new offensive line coach.

Bicknell, a well-known figure in both college football and the NFL, brings a wealth of knowledge to the position.

Bicknell’s career spans several decades and includes significant roles in both college and professional football.

Before his appointment at West Virginia, he served as the offensive line coach for the Wisconsin Badgers under head coach Luke Fickell.

His vast coaching experience also includes stints at some of the top programs in the country, such as Auburn, Ole Miss, Louisville, Boston College, and North Carolina.

In addition to his college coaching background, Bicknell has had notable experience in the NFL. He worked with several prestigious teams, including the New York Giants, Kansas City Chiefs, Pittsburgh Steelers, and Miami Dolphins, providing him with an extensive understanding of the game at the highest level.

Bicknell’s experience as a head coach at Louisiana Tech further enriches his coaching portfolio.

This combination of both collegiate and NFL experience makes him a valuable asset for the Mountaineers as they look to strengthen their offensive line.

With Rodriguez assembling a staff that blends deep experience and a proven track record of success, Bicknell’s hire marks another key step toward improving West Virginia’s football program.

As the new season approaches, expectations will be high for this veteran coach to bring his expertise and leadership to the team.
