Head coach Andy Reid has hinted at a possible reunion with familiar players, sparking speculation that the team might pursue Marquez Valdes-Scantling, recently released by the Buffalo Bills.
However, the situation took a turn when NFL insider Tom Pelissero reported that Valdes-Scantling has signed with the New Orleans Saints. After joining the Chiefs on a three-year, $30 million contract in the 2022 offseason,
his time in Kansas City was marked by underwhelming individual statistics, totaling 63 receptions for 1,002 yards and three touchdowns over 33 games.
Nonetheless, he played a crucial role in the postseason, contributing to two Super Bowl victories. Valdes-Scantling’s highlight moment came during the AFC Championship game against the Ravens last season,

He followed this up with a touchdown catch in the Super Bowl against San Francisco. Recently, the 30-year-old wide receiver visited New Orleans for a workout,
and while the Chiefs’ interest in him remains uncertain, he will now seek to establish a role with the struggling 2-5 Saints.
